Enter His Gates With Thanksgiving

Yesterday was Thanksgiving here in America and I for one have plenty to be thankful for. I received the money I needed to pay for my outreach and will be leaving with the rest of my team on December 11th.

I am thankful to everyone who donated and truly blessed by your obedience to the Lord in partnering with His plan for me. However, I know that there is still more to come. God has called me to a life of full-time ministry. My long term vision is to live and do ministry in Asia; preaching the gospel there and helping to mobilise missionaries to move out from those nations.

In order to do this I will need a team of financial supporters and I am inviting you to be a part of that team. If you have a heart to see Gods word go forth into the nations, if you’re stirred to advance the kingdom, then pray about coming alongside me and labouring with me in this vision.

If you want to know more about my long term plans please contact me and we can arrange to discuss it further. £100, £50, or even £20 a month could make all the difference in helping me to minister to the lost in Asia.

You can also, if you wish, donate towards my non-outreach ministry costs (including my flight back to the UK) by going to; http://www.gofundme.com/heather-farmer

If you would like a more detailed update of what I’ve been up to, contact me and I will add you to my newsletter subscription list.

Much love,
For His GLORY,
Heather

“You are worthy, Oh Lord…

…To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”

It is 12.18am and I am currently sitting in the Prayer Room at IHOP. I have spent much of today pacing, praying and contending for finances, believing the my God is faithful to provide the money for my trip to East Asia.

He has always been faithful but the thing is, that won’t change if the money doesn’t come in. He IS faithful. Not because I call Him faithful, but because it is who He is. He is never anything other than faithful.

So, while I believe He will provide for me, ultimately He has done it all already. He has redeemed me and restored me to Himself. It doesn’t really get much better than that. He is worthy of my praise. No matter what.

Outreach Preparation

Things are getting real.

In 18 days, my team will be flying out to East Asia for outreach. But, it is not guaranteed that I will go with them. In order to go, I need to raise $2470USD (£1530GBP). And I need to raise it by tonight. Now, I believe that God has called me to this place and so I believe that He will be faithful to provide the finances for me to go. However, I also believe that He is calling some of you to be a part of this journey.

All the money I receive goes towards travel, living and ministry costs; food and transportation while on outreach, books and ministry tools etc. I will be providing regular updates and keeping in contact (as much as possible, as and when there is Wi-Fi). If you would like to discuss this further with me, I would love to Skype, Facetime or even hear from you via email. If you would like to make a donation, please go to http://www.gofundme.com/heather-farmer and if you would like to pledge monthly support then please email me for more details.

For more information on my vision for this season, read below;

I have had people say that it is crazy that I am still needing money for this trip. I have had people say that if I’m still in need of money, maybe I’m not supposed to go. I have heard a number of negative comments in relation to my newly discovered calling as a full-time missionary. And so, I feel it is important to address some of that now…

God is in the process of doing something powerful in the nations and He wants all of His saints to be a part of it. My role in this is to go out into the nations and preach the gospel, share my testimony of what God has done in my life and the saving power of Jesus’ love, love the lost, pray for the sick and the broken. This is not my job – something I will do Monday to Friday for a year or two. This is my life’s purpose. For others; their role is to send others out.

‘How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?  And how shall they preach unless they are sent?’ – Romans 10:14-15

God wants to involve as many people as possible in His plan to reconcile the nations to Himself. He doesn’t need to use people at all, but His desire is to partner with US in all things. He has blessed people in different ways with the intention of having us labour TOGETHER to bring the gospel to the nations. This is why I truly believe that God is stirring hearts to partner with me by providing finances to help me live and do ministry in the nations.

While on outreach, I will be ministering on University Campuses, in factories and at Youth Camps. I will teach and walk people through how to receive freedom from rejection, shame, anger etc. I will share the gospel, give my testimony and preach sermons at churches. After outreach I will return to Kansas City with my team to debrief and take some time to prepare for the next season of my life. God is calling me to full-time missions and my heart is to live and minister in Asia specifically.

I am called to go and I believe that God is calling some of you to send. So I urge you to pray and ask God how He wants you to partner with me. I need people who will provide towards my outreach costs and I am also in the process of building up a team of monthly supporters who can provide finances in order to help me step out in my calling as a missionary; long-term.

Again; if you would like to discuss this further with me, I would love to Skype, Facetime or even hear from you via email. If you would like to make a donation, please go to http://www.gofundme.com/heather-farmer and if you would like to pledge monthly support then please email me for more details.

I am truly blessed and honoured to be used by God to further His Kingdom, and I am excited to have you alongside me as I go on this journey.

With much love,
For His GLORY.
Heather.

Casting Vision

I want to begin this blog by asking two questions;

Firstly, what are some of the greatest injustices facing people across the world today? Sex trafficking? Poverty? Domestic abuse?
Right.
Secondly, where would YOU be if you had never encountered the saving power of Jesus?

There are many injustices which stir my heart but lately I’ve been realising that the worst of all is that so many people have still never had the chance to encounter the saving power of Jesus’ love. I know from experience that Jesus’ love brings comfort in every trial. He may not always bring me out of the trial but He is ALWAYS faithful to walk me through it.

I’m sure many of you know this too. We know this firstly because someone told us, for some of us it was our parents, a friend, a pastor, but in every case we know this with all certainty because at some point we called out to the Lord and He answered us.

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?” (Romans 10:14)

I grew up in a city where there was a church in every neighbourhood but still I was 23 years old before I ever heard the full gospel and when I did, it changed my life completely. How much more powerful will the impact be when it is shared in places where the majority of the population have never heard of Jesus’ love?

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14)

My hearts desire is to really be a part of the answer. I long to say ‘yes’ to God’s call to go. For me, it is all about the ‘one’. If I am blessed with the opportunity to preach to hundreds and see them come to know the Lord then Hallelujah, my heart will rejoice. But if I have to spend hours, days or even weeks pouring into one person until they come to understand who Jesus’ really is, then I will still rejoice. Which is not to say that I won’t continue to preach to the hundreds in the meantime. I truly believe that if you reach someone in such a radical way that they truly grab hold of God with everything they have; you will create an instant evangelist and ‘one’ will become ‘ten’ and soon ‘one hundred’ and so on.

So my vision is ‘To share the gospel with those who have never heard and proclaim the love of God from a place of real knowledge.’
For me, the first step is a trip to East Asia. 12 weeks of University ministry in a nation which is one of the worst for Christian persecution. We will be preaching the love of God to the youth there in order to raise up a generation of evangelists and leaders on fire for Jesus. It is the first time our Kansas City base has sent a team to this part of the world so we will really be pioneering the way for other teams to come here; laying the groundwork for YWAM within the nation and building relationships with leaders there.

After this, I intend to go back to the Philippines to help out with Church Based Outreach in Cebu. When I was there in February, God really gave me a heavy burden for the people there. I have been longing to go back there ever since I left and now that I have a greater understanding of God’s heart for the nations and the part He is asking me to play, I am keen to return to the Philippines and share His love with the people there.

This is not just a one-time mission trip. I really feel like the Lord is calling me to full-time missions and my heart is really to live and do ministry in Asia.

At present I am working alongside YWAM (Youth With A Mission) and I hope to continue working with as I truly identify with the vision to know God and make him known.

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they have been sent?(Romans 10:14-15)

God is calling everyone to share in what He wants to do across the globe. If you feel stirred by what I have shared here then I want to invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with me financially. In order to walk out my calling as a full-time missionary, I need people who will partner with me on a monthly basis. I believe that God is stirring hearts to be involved in sending me out into the nations. Also, in order to go on outreach and then on to the Philippines, I need to raise $5000USD (£3200GBP) – this is to cover travel and ministry costs. Please pray about giving towards this goal.

If you would like to find out more information or pledge monthly support, please email me (heather.a.farmer@gmail.com) or contact me via Facebook. If you would like to make a donation right now towards my trip you can go to http://www.gofundme.com/heather-farmer
Also, please consider sharing this page with friends and give others the opportunity to partner with me.

Much love and many thanks,
For His GLORY.
